For the first time, Cision Nordics is presenting a report with journalists from Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark – State of the Media: Nordic Edition. We have surveyed almost 1200 journalists in the Nordic countries and asked them about their main challenges, trust in journalism, technological advances and a lot more.
The report shows some significant differences between the countries. In Norway, a majority of journalists believe that trust in media has remained indifferent while the other countries highlight a decline in trust of journalism.
Even so, all Nordic countries agree that staffing and lack off resources is considered the main challenge to deal with. Social networks and search engines bypassing traditional media is another challenge to be dealt with, rated as the second most alarming challenge in all countries.
